Meet your hosts – Suzanne & James.
Coolabine Retreat began as a dream over 10 years ago. After losing her first husband, Robert, to leukaemia after a six year long battle, Suzanne put her corporate career behind her and headed for the country to build her dream – luxury accommodation in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.
It was this brave decision that lead her to find her new life with her now husband, James, his daughter and their ever growing four-legged family.
Now, Suzanne and James have made the dream a reality with two gorgeous, luxury cabins that have the most serene views over their stunning property.
At Coolabine Retreat, you’ll be whisked away with the serenity of sunsets and sunrises, comforted by a wood heater and emersed in a luxurious free-standing bath tub that overlooks it all – yes, it’s a bath with a view.

Coolabine is a hidden gem nestled in the lush hinterland of the Sunshine Coast, offering a serene escape surrounded by rolling hills, vibrant forests, and tranquil streams. Coolabine is just short of 2 hours North of Brisbane, 45 minute drive from Sunshine Coast Airport and around 50 minutes from the bustling coastal town of Caloundra. This peaceful town, rich in natural beauty and rural charm, provides the perfect backdrop for your next luxury farm stay experience. You can enjoy the slower pace of life, soak in the pristine environment, and explore local trails that wind through towering trees and scenic countryside. Coolabine is also a great base to discover nearby townships such as Kenilworth and Mapleton, known for their artisanal offerings, charming cafes, and historic sights.
The Sunshine Coast is renowned for its diverse attractions, offering everything from stunning beaches and vibrant coastal towns to breathtaking hinterland views. For shopping and a little nightlife, Noosa is the place to go.
